Connecting Cal.com to your AI Colleague

With Cal.com your AI Colleague can schedule meetings and appointments on your behalf. This guide explains how to connect Cal.com to your AI Colleague.

Step 1: Select Cal.com in Atelyr

Go to the "Setup Tools" step of your AI Colleague and select the "Cal.com" tool.

Step 2: Choose your deployment

In the connection screen, first choose your deployment:

  • Cal.com Cloud (EU): Your data is processed within the European Union

  • Cal.com Cloud (US): Your data is processed in the United States

  • Self-hosted: You are using your own Cal.com installation

Step 3: Create a Cal.com account (if needed)

Don't have a Cal.com account yet? Go to www.cal.com and create an account via Google or email. Choose your data region when creating your account.

Step 4: Create an API key in Cal.com

To give Atelyr access to your Cal.com account you need an API key. Follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings in Cal.com

  • Scroll down to the Developer section

  • Click on API keys

  • Click Create

  1. Give the key a clear name, for example "Atelyr"

  2. Enable the Never expires option so the connection does not unexpectedly stop working

  3. Click Create

💡 Important: Copy the API key immediately after creating it and save it temporarily in a safe place. You will not be able to view the key again after closing the window.

Step 5: Enter the API key in Atelyr

Go back to Atelyr and paste the copied API key into the "API Key" field. Then click "Connect".

Step 6: Choose the desired event types

After connecting you will see an overview of the available event types in your Cal.com account. Select the event types that your AI Colleague is allowed to schedule. You can select multiple types.

💡 Tip: Only select the event types that are relevant for your AI Colleague. This prevents unwanted appointments from being scheduled.

Your Cal.com connection is now ready. Your AI Colleague can now schedule appointments based on your availability in Cal.com.
