Integrating your AI Colleague with 3CX

This guide shows you how to connect your AI Colleague to 3CX, so it becomes reachable as a full team member within your phone system.

What do you need?

To set up the integration with 3CX, you need a number of details from 3CX, which you enter in Atelyr:

  • Username

  • Auth Username

  • Password

  • Domain

Step 1: Create or find a SIP account in 3CX

Log in to 3CX and click “Admin” in the bottom left. Then click “Users” in the list of options. You'll now see an overview of your existing users. Click the user you want to link, or create a new user.

Once you've created a new user or opened an existing one, click “IP Phone”. Then click “Configure a Phone”, followed by “I will configure the phone myself”. Select the correct interface and click “Add Phone”.

Step 2: Link the SIP account in Atelyr

Once you've added the “IP Phone”, 3CX shows the corresponding SIP details. Use the overview below to see which 3CX field matches which field in Atelyr:

Copy the details and go to Atelyr:

  • In Atelyr, choose “Connect to telecom provider or PBX”.

  • Select the country you operate in.

  • Open the advanced settings.

  • Fill in the details according to the table above.

  • Click “Test SIP connection” at the bottom.

Note

Leave the “Outbound Proxy” field empty.

Not registering correctly? Edit the SIP account in 3CX, change the password, and repeat Step 2.

Registration successful? You'll see a confirmation in Atelyr.

Then click “Deploy (AI Colleague name)”. Atelyr will now prepare and activate the AI Colleague.

Security

Never share your SIP credentials publicly. They give direct access to your AI Colleague's phone line.

Step 3: Make the user reachable in 3CX

To make the AI Colleague reachable for callers, link the user/extension to your call flow in 3CX. Can't figure it out? Contact your 3CX provider.

All set!

Your AI Colleague is now registered in both 3CX and Atelyr. You can call the AI Colleague internally using the extension you entered (in this example: 2001).
